IAA Compass Awards 2020 Honorees




Recipients Recognized for Their Notable Contributions & Achievements

in the Global Marketing Communications Industry

The IAA Compass Awards have been created to celebrate leadership excellence demonstrated by the members of the marketing communications industry and the IAA global family and to honor their commitment to driving excellence in communications as well as their contribution to worldwide advancement of the International Advertising Association.

The honorees of these awards are the navigators that are dedicated to steering the IAA and the marcom industry to achieve the IAA mission as the global compass of marketing communications.

IAA Chairman and World President, Srinivasan Swamy, announced the winners of the 2020 IAA Champion and Young Leader Compass Awards and said:


"The IAA is primarily a people organisation and the IAA Compass Awards pay tribute to our outstanding members for their many achievements and services to advance the IAA globally as well as to make a difference impacting the worldwide arena of marketing communications. They have contributed their leadership and professional expertise and inspired the marcoms community with vision, passion, energy and committed action. We are proud of their accomplishments and services dedicated to our industry."

This award recognizes individual YP members who are significantly contributing leadership and services in the Young Professionals' arena and creating dynamics in the marketing communications industry. This year's four recipients of the IAA Young Leader Awards (left to right above)

The award winners for each group were selected by separate judging councils of IAA Board members representing the five IAA regions, chaired by Heather Leembruggen, IAA VP & Chairman IAA Compass Awards. Nominations are reviewed and considered in the light of various criteria including career experience, significant contributions, IAA involvement, and advancing IAA locally and globally, among other specific categorical criteria.


In commenting on the nominations and winners of the 2020 IAA Compass Awards for IAA Champion and Young Leader, Vice President IAA Awards, Heather Leembruggen said: "We were delighted with the calibre of the nominees and the spread of countries represented in the entries we received. It demonstrates that the global network we embrace is truly international in its scope and service to the industry, and also, importantly, that the IAA family is comprised of many high achievers and leaders in the marketing communications community. I congratulate all this year's winners for their contributions, their services and their leadership for bringing to life IAA's value proposition as "the global compass of marketing communications."
